About Al Muntaha Tutoring

Al Muntaha’s objectives align very much with the role of its historic namesake. Sidrat-Al-Muntaha is the lote tree that marks the boundary, beyond which nothing can pass, between God and his creations in Islamic tradition. While we may not believe in strict boundaries to human potential, we are always testing that theory, encouraging our students to explore their academic interests and get as close to Al Muntaha as they can.

The Al Muntaha Tutoring program offers high school/university students and professional teachers from around the world the opportunity to volunteer to tutor Palestinian, Lebanese, Jordanian, Yemeni, Iraqi, and Egyptian children looking to improve their skills in the English language by applying these skills to their interests (such as mathematics or art). Accepted tutors will first be guided through a training course on successfully tutoring and be briefed on their assigned tutee by a tutoring advisor. Tutors meet their students for 60 minutes each week over a video conferencing platform and are expected to plan these sessions in advance based on their student’s interests.

Empowering Girls

We are committed to educating at least as many girls as boys through our program.

We recognise the educational value of exposing our students to university student and professional teacher mentors around the world, and we’ll accept nothing less than a level playing field.
