Meet the team that runs our tutoring program on a day-to-day basis and executes our long-term strategy!

    Founder & Executive Director

    Adnan is an undergraduate student at Yale University studying Applied Mathematics.

    In March 2020, Adnan founded Al Muntaha to connect university students with underprivileged children across the Middle East whose education had been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Today, Al Muntaha serves over 200 students living in the Middle East and North Africa and is partners with several universities and NGOs in the region.

    In September 2021, Adnan received the United Kingdom Prime Minister’s Points of Light award.

    Adnan has also served on the Institute of International Education’s inaugural Odyssey Scholarship selection committee since April 2022.

    Education Officer

    Prior to coming to the UK, Meemo was a University English language instructor in Saudi Arabia. She arrived in the UK in 2012 and gained her master’s and PhD degree in educational technology and language learning from the University of Central Lancashire. Meemo spent some time as an Academic Consultant and a volunteer at the Manchester Refugee Support Network before the pandemic hit.

    Meemo now resides in Manchester where she enjoys travelling, crafting, and helping postgraduate students enhance their academic writing skills.

    Social Media Coordinator

    Yasmine joined Al Muntaha Tutoring in 2022.

    Yasmine is currently based in Dubai and works in the Communications industry. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from McGill University with a major in International Development and double minors in Psychology and French Language and Literature.

    Throughout her university studies, she worked as a tutor with a Non-Governmental Organization based in Kenya where she tutored English language to children in the fifth grade, as well as volunteered with the students-led organization McGill Students for UNICEF to support different causes supported by UNICEF Canada.

    During her free time, Yasmine enjoys reading as hobby, especially about psychology, exercising and spending time at the beach with her friends.

    Social Media Coordinator

    Manar joined Al Muntaha in 2021.

    Manar is based in Boston, MA, and is working in drug development to treat leukemia. Prior to her current position, Manar received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and French from Baylor University and her Master’s degree in Medical Sciences from Boston University.

    Throughout her education, she worked as a tutor and teaching assistant at different learning levels. She has a passion for education and loves working with students, so working with Al Muntaha is right up her alley.

    In her free time, Manar likes to go on day trips, ski, try out different cuisines, and go to local volunteering events.

    Social Media Coordinator

    Chaea is an undergraduate student at New York University Abu Dhabi studying Social Research and Public Policy.

    Before coming to university, Chaea was actively involved in education-related and volunteering activities. She founded an online tutoring organization back in 2020, where she and her friends taught basic English and Math to underprivileged students in the Philippines. In NYU Abu Dhabi, she is the Events Coordinator at ElevatED, the university’s education interest group.

    Aside from that, she is also passionate about languages – she can speak 5 languages and is currently self-learning Spanish. Despite being an ISTJ, her interpersonality allows her to easily cooperate with professionals and outside organizations, and she enjoys communicating with others!
